Open Studio
Saturday, September 19
10am to 4pm PST
As part of Design Vancouver Festival, Joe is opening his workshop to the public — a rare opportunity to see the space where each piece is made and to ask the questions you'd never think to put in an email. Joe will gladly answer your questions while offering a behind-the-scenes glimpse of his craft.
RSVP required, as the studio welcomes a maximum of six guests at a time.
-

STEP 1
CONVERSATION
Meet with Joe at his Atelier & Showroom to share your vision, timeline, and material preferences.
To make the most of this conversation, you’re welcome to bring examples, images, or screenshots of leather pieces that inspire you.
-

STEP 2
QUOTE & TIMELINE
Following your discussion, Joe provides an estimated total and handcrafting timeframe.
To proceed to the next steps, a deposit of 50% of the total amount is required.
-

STEP 3
REVIEW & ALIGNMENT
Joe works on a rendering, mock-up, or sample (depending on complexity) before handcrafting begins.
-

STEP 4
HANDCRAFTING
Your piece is carefully handcrafted.
Depending on Joe’s waitlist and agreed timeframe, please allow a minimum of 4-5 weeks for small leather goods and 6–8 weeks for leather bags.
-

STEP 5
PICKUP
Joe notifies you when your custom piece is ready for pickup.
An official invoice comes with your custom piece, and the remaining balance is due.
-

STEP 6
CONDITIONING
For custom leather bags, and exclusively for his Vancouver clients, Joe is happy to offer complimentary annual conditioning.
